So how did I end up here? I get that question quite a lot. To make a long story kind of short, and not to bore you with the details, I truly feel like this is what I was meant to do.
I come from a large Italian family of entrepreneurs, so it was only a matter of time before my entrepreneurial spirit broke through in full swing. I was never fully happy with my nine-to-five jobs, and always felt like there was so much more I wanted to do. I originally graduated college with a degree in hospitality and after a few soul-searching jobs, I ended up in an event manager role where I really discovered my passion for graphic design.
I went back to school to immerse myself with the art and started freelancing for small businesses and that’s when Cupcake Graphics surfaced. I started working solely with small businesses and then after working with my first few brides, I was hooked. It is such an amazing feeling to contribute to someone’s special day in such a big way. I found my calling and there was no turning back.
So why did I name the company Cupcake Graphics, you ask? “Cupcake” was a pet name my boyfriend at the time (now husband) used to call me. I started Cupcake Graphics right around the same time I started dating my husband and just thought it was a cute name. At that time, I honestly did not consider the business would turn into what it is now, but I count my blessings every day that it has. Once people started to recognize the Cupcake Graphics brand, I didn’t want to change the name so it stuck, just like my husband! Although some may think I actually make cupcakes, it gives me the opportunity to really talk about what I do every day, and that’s creating art that tells a love story.
